Synchronizacja pionowa - czyli, w jaki sposób ją wymusić?

Witam wszystkich.

Ostatnio zacząłem się zastanawiać w jaki sposób uzyskać na Linuksie obraz bez... hmmm "przełamań" czy jak to nazwiecie - chodzi o to, że kiedy włączam jakąś grę w 2d to na ekranie podczas szybkiego przesuwania widać "pasy" odświeżania w różnych miejscach. Na Windows - wystarczy wymusić (o ile aplikacja sama tak nie robi) włączenie opcji "Synchronizacja Pionowa" i po kłopocie - a tu? Podobno się da... tylko jak? Tak szukam i szukam, przeglądam opcję w Xorg i nic. Wiem że mogę wymusić Vsync jeżeli nastawię odświeżanie monitora na dokładną ilość klatek gry/emulatora - dla przykładu - jeżeli poprzez wine uruchomię sobie VBA(VisualBoyAdvance) to przy 60 klatkach na ekranie musze nastawić odświeżanie na 60 - jak łatwo się domyśleć - po 30 minutach takiego grania, oczy chcą mi wypłynąć :( .
