Witam.
Zastanawiam się nad kupnem niedrogiego notebooka i znalazłem całkiem tanie modele z APU z platformy AMD Brazos.
Jak jest na dzień dzisiejszy z obsługą w Linuksie? Głównie interesują mnie tu APU z serii E (Zacate).
Jak ktoś używa/używał proszę o podzielenie się jak jest z wydajnością i ogólnie opinią.

Walnę ogólnie małego faila, ale Android x86 ma w swojej ofercie obsługę AMD Brazos, więc zapewne Linux też ma

Poczytalem na wszelki wypadek. Wpisz do wyszukiwarki AMD Brazos i linux lub cos w ten desen. Z tym, ze w google/szmugle masz zawsze 7 odpowiedzi na 10 kompletnie niepotrzebnych. :)

Zrobiłem mały research w sieci, tylko chciałem zapytać o opinię osoby które używają w obecnej chwili. Jak wiadomo w Linuksie wiele rzeczy szybko się zmienia i wypowiedź, np. z października, że obsługa AMD Fusion jest kiepska może już nie być aktualna.

Kuźwa jaki burdel...
1) APU dział pod linuxem
2) wewnętrzna akceleracja rzokodowywania multimediów nie działa (lub tez kiedys będzie działać)
3) polityka zarządzania energią w jednych modelach APU działa dobrze w innych tylko działa, a i sa takie które cały czas sa bez wsparcia - tutaj tez trzeba czekac czy cos sie ruszy.
PS.
Bardzo źle tolerowana to może być laktoza przez uczulonych.

Cześć. Kupiłem płytkę E45M1-I zainstalowałem właśnie świeżego debiana weekly-build. Instalacja poszła jak zawsze, tylko coś broi. Grub 2 uruchamia jądro i od momentu kiedy grub lub jądro zmienia rozdzielczość (czy "tryb" wyświetlania) w trakcie uruchamiania na monitorze pojawia się coś jakby kaszka. System uruchamia się raczej bez kłopotów bo na ślepo mogę się zalogować i poleceniem halt wyłączyć maszynę. To samo w trybie single i poprzez dvi i hdmi, przejściówki na d-sub niema toi nie próbowałem.

Trochę słabo jestem zorientowany w kwestii obsługi grafiki pod linuksem ... mam lapka z grafą intela.
Odpaliłem live CD siduction 2011.1 64 bit i to samo, ale safe-graphics z opcją radeon.modeset=0 (dowiedziałem się że istnieje takie coś jak KMS), kaszka przy odpalaniu jądra jest nadal ale jak uruchomi się xorg i środowisko graficzne to obraz już jest.
Doczytałem http://manual.siduction.org/pl/sys-admin-release-pl.htm poniżej FAQ KMS i wniosek: zainstalować ze środowiskiem graficznym (wcześniej instalowałem bez xorg) odpalić radeon.modeset=0 i doinstalować firmware-linux-nonfree.
Jutro pojutrze się za to zabiorę a potem catalyst ...

peadyr a dźwięk przez co puszczasz? Ja miałem cholerne problemy na Debku z wymuszeniem dźwięku na HDMI na Debku/Archu. Na Ubuntu idzie to z łapy.
A obciążenia nie są tragiczne. Teraz żonka korzysta z komputera i jeden rdzeń 50%, drugi 5-7%

[ 23.906099] wlan0: no IPv6 routers presentPrzed zrobieniem takiego asoundrc dźwięk miałem w smplayerze wybierałem hw1,0 (hdmi czyli alsa 0,3 nie działało) i szedł na frontowe wyjście, w xbmc sporo wyjść miałem do wyboru ale na żadne przy odtwarzaniu nie puszczał tylko pikanie menu na front szło. Z takim asoundrc myślałem że w xbmc dam wyjście default i chociaż film obejrzę z dźwiękiem z frontu, ale co dziwne w xbmc wybrałem Wyjście dźwięku HDMI i Wyjściowe urządzenie hdmi (ALSA) i dźwięk odtwarzania idzie przez HDMI (pikanie menu już nie), poza xbmc w smplayerze pojawił się dźwięk przez hdmi jak wybiorę alsa 0,3. Poza tym:
alsamixer cannot open mixer: Zły argument
Także tu regulacji głośności niemam, reguluję programowo na xbmc, potem TV noi głośniki dopięte do TV.
Nie rozumiem dlaczego tak jest, fajnie że działa.
Teraz zajmuje się odtwarzaniem z CD/DVD, którego xbmc nie wykrywa a sam system z fvwm-crystal thunar smplayer też coś kapryśnie - napęd zewnętrzny przez USB.
Aha, obciążenie z samym uruchomionym xbmc bez filmu itp podobne a i montowanie usb przez xbmc, wyłączanie hibernacja wstrzymanie działa od kopa (oczywiście z doinstalowanym usbmount acpi... i plikami policykit-1).
