Kiedyś instalowałem debiana sarge i prawie wszystko było ok. Dziś ściągnęłem sobie testing - netinstall sią zaciąłem na instalacji radka 9800SE. A mianowicie:

Mam identyczne bledy, przy instalce i Xy nie staja deba :P

Ponownie wywaliło.

Znalazłem gdzieś ten opis:
#aptitude update
#aptitude install module-assistant fglrx-driver fglrx-kernel-src
#module-assistant update
#module-assistant a-i fglrx
#aticonfig --initial

wszystko poszło bez problemów. Nie wywaliło błędów, tylko:

ciągle mam przy próbie z pierwszego postu :X Server: Unknown X Window

Nie mam już pomysłów :(

Hmm ile razy instalowałem przy pomocy apta stery ati tyle razy nie miałem akceleracji... może nie umiem, ale na twoim miejscu wywaliłbym te sterowniki zaopatrzył się w nagłówki oraz źródła dla twojego jądra, zainstalował to co wyżej i dopiero brał sie za instalacje z binarek dostępnych na stronie Ati.
Oczywiście po tym wszystkim aticonfig

Zanim przystąpisz do powyższego spróbuj dopisać sobie na koniec xorg.conf poniższe:

Mialem kiedys problem polegajacy na tym, ze raz stery sie ladowaly a innym razem poprostu mesa. Może ty masz podobny problem. Aby rozwiaac ten problem wystarczyło dodać w sekcji "device" wpis BusID w moim przypadku

Czy to normalne że nietóre sekcje tj. Device, Screen, Monitor, InputDevice są podwójne?

Po instalacji sterów ati tak jest, wiec tym sie nie przejmuj. Próbowałeś robić to co wyżej ci wymieniliśmy?Jesli tak to podaj cały xorg.conf, jesli nie to pobaw się.

Jak posprzątać śmieci po nieudanej instalacji ? (odinstalować je z systemu)

Bo zainstalowałem ponownie debianka i próbowałem zainstalować te stery, ale mi x-y wywaliło (X Server: Unknown X Window).
Wcześniej sobie zrobiłem kopie xorg.conf którą teraz przekopiowałem spowrotem żeby mi x-y wstały.

Zrobiłem sobie paczki .deb z instalatora ze strony Ati, zainstalowałem je - poszło bez błędów, ile w glrxinfo ciągle widnieje mesa3d zamiast Radeon9800. Co z tym zrobić? Czy trzeba kompilować jądro? co zmienić?
